Submission Policy

Papers are invited on any aspect of mathematical/analytical modelling and computer simulation with emphasis on intelligent systems, computational and artificial intelligence. Submissions must be original, unpublished work containing new and interesting results that demonstrate current research in all areas of the subject, focusing on modelling, simulation and applications in science, technology, business and commerce.

A paper should clearly indicate the relationship of the work described to the most relevant previous work. Most formulae in a paper should be accompanied by brief explanations in English. When mathematical proofs are not given, it is common to cite a technical report or other source where interested readers may find them.

The author is responsible for obtaining any necessary copyright releases for material which has been published previously, as well as all required corporate and security clearances prior to submitting material for consideration. It is UKSim's policy to assume that all clearances have been received by the author by the time a paper is submitted for publication. No paper published in other journals or books can be considered for publication in the International Journal of Simulation: Systems Science & Technology. Concurrent submission to other publications and this Journal is viewed as a serious breach of ethics and if detected will result in immediate rejection of the submission.

Preparation of Manuscript: Important Change

As from Vol.10, No.1 IJSSST format will follow a similar template to that used by IEEE conferences, the main exception being the Abstract is spread over the paper width rather than the top of the left column. See http: //ijssst.info/info/template.doc, http://ijssst.info/info/template.pdf

Headers and Footers: authors must insert headers and footers as follows:

Headers: header text must be in Times New Roman size 10 points, centred across the top of the page between the same margins as the main text, with the Header from Top and Footer from Bottom both set to 1cm. The header text must consist of the first author's initials (without full stops) and surname followed by et al (in case of multiple authors) followed by a colon and a portion of the paper title up to the end of the line, in upper case, e.g.

S B YAAKOB et al: MAINTENANCE OF A TRAFFIC SIGNAL LIGHT

Footers: must be centred across the bottom of the page between the same margins as the main text with the page number in the centre, in Times New Roman size 10 points including the volume number, the issue number and the paper number within the issue, e.g. for volume 15, issue 1, paper number 3, the footer would be as follows, where x is the page number within the paper starting at 1:

REFERENCES: Follow the IEEE guidelines http://www.ijssst.info/info/IEEE-Citation-StyleGuide.pdf

Page Limit: 20PAGES. Papers should have a maximum length of 20 double column pages. Additional pages may be submitted, but there is an extra page charge of $50/page. We would prefer that you did not exceed the 20 page limit!

Questions on manuscript preparation should be addressed to the Editor.

Charges: To cover processing charges and the cost of publication, after a manuscript is accepted for publication the author must pay a charge of $30 per page with a minimum of $300 to cover up to 10 pages. This guarantees online publication within 12 months of acceptance. Rates for faster online publication are available for within 6 months, 3 months, 6 weeks and 3 weeks of acceptance.
